Jesus placed Himself amongst sinners by merging into humanity; finishing His work by allowing Himself to be killed for our salvation. Being without sin, He was the perfect sacrifice, both Author and doer for sinners.
Destiny of the Saved
God created man to rule over creation, but man’s sin interfered with God’s plans. So God sent the Savior, Jesus Christ, to restore man, and has destined redeemed sinners for glory.
Armed Helpers
As Joshua readies the people of Israel to move out of the wilderness and into the promised land, he reminds those who will engage hostile forces on the battlefields to be armed and to help.
To Worship Him
Wise Men came from afar; following the star, receiving the Scripture, seeing the Child Jesus, King of the Jews. They not only gave gifts to Him, they worshiped Him.
Acting on What God has Revealed
The chapter opens with an encouragement to believers to take their salvation seriously. He warns of drifting away, and the fate of negligence, citing the miraculous features of our faith which we must not forget
