King David celebrates the successful arrival of the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem, establishing a system of service for the care of the ark. He also delivers a psalm that he wrote just for this occasion.
King David’s Passion
King David again sets out to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem and is successful because Scripture concerning transporting the Ark was followed. He sacrifices, dances and fills the city with joy; except for at least one.
King David’s Heart
King David sets out to move the Ark to Jerusalem but it meets with tragedy and progress is halted. In 1Ch 14, King Hiram of Tyre sends gifts to David for building his house. Also, David defeats the invading forces of the Philistines
King David’s Armies
Here is overview of David’s raise to the throne of Israel. Having told us of his crowing in Chapter 11, we are now told how the warriors of Israel’s tribes gradually gathered to David over the years, culminating in making him king of Israel.
David is Made King Over All Israel
Seven years separate this chapter from the last. David is made king over all Israel. Jerusalem becomes his first objective then his city. He then fortifies and expands Jerusalem. Lastly, his personal guard and mighty men are listed.
