King David brings the ark to Jerusalem but not without the death of a servant. Three month later the quest resumes and David dances before the ark and the kingdom rejoices, except for Michal who despises it all.
David Rules the Kingdom
Assassins kill the king in Israel which brought about a united kingdom with David as king over all, but he executed the killers for their crime. Then David took Jerusalem, prospered and subdued the Philistines.
Big Mistakes
The folly of one king and the great pathos of another. The savage and cowardly revenge of one man and the fatal miscalculation of his victim. Big mistakes complicated consolidation of the kingdom, but did not stop it.
Kings and Fools
David asks God if he is to go to Judah, and where. David moves to Hebron, and is crowned king of Judah. Later, Ishbosheth is made king in the north. Then like fools, men of Judah and Israel duel without gain.
Mixed Feelings
David was nowhere near the battlefield where King Saul and his sons died in battle. News reached David days later by an Amalekite who admitted to striking a deathblow on Saul, for which David executed him.
