Witness Tampering
Jesus addressed self-seeking in his disciples when John recalled a related failure. Jesus made it clear that those who believe in Him are on His side but those who harm His people risk endless torment after this life.
Educated by Facts
Christ intended to again educate His apostles about His betrayal, death and resurrection. But popular teachings about Messiah had drowned out Scripture’s facts about His suffering, leaving them closed minded.
Educated by Failure
Jesus and three of His disciples return from a glorious event on a mountain, to an awaiting problem in the valley. Need, opposition, failure, victory and education are all bundled into the apostles present experience.
Divine Radiance
This is the story of the majesty of Jesus Christ shining forth as no other had ever been glorified. It was in the presence of only three apostles. After this event the Lord set the rest of His ministry towards His Cross.
