Peter comes to his main point in this second letter: false prophets, these are untrustworthy preachers, false teachers. He points out that their infiltration amongst the righteous is nothing new, but God will judge them.
Haman’s End
It is the day of queen Esther’s second banquet where she reveals to her husband the king, that it is Haman who has planned to kill and plunder all the Jewish people. Her revelation will lead to Haman’s execution.
Our Trustworthy Bible
Peter says that he lived with Christ and that He and the prophets are trustworthy. Having been there when Christ radiated before their eyes, and hearing the Father’s voice; Peter says our Bible is authentic.
Sovereign Unraveling
The wicked plans of Haman begin to unravel by Gods sovereign work, an unmistakable work. Not only does Haman’s plan to kill Mordecai fail, but Haman is ordered to parade Mordecai as a man honored by the king.
Keeping Sight of Christ
Having ad laid out behavioral components belonging to our faith, Peter now stirs Christians to not lose sight of the vital virtues that aid us in the performance of our faith. Peter says he’ll not neglect to leave reminders.
