The writer calls for diligence, pointing to the power of God’s word to penetrate man’s soul. Next he states that we have a Great High Priest, Jesus Christ, and He knows our weaknesses and is merciful still.
Introduction to 1 Chronicles Part 2
The writer continues to introduce the Davidic line and inspire the people with their rich heritage and spiritual pedigree from the Lord. The tenth chapter is climactic, yet sad, ending with King Saul’s death, opening the way for King David.

Jacob’s Last Words
The days of Jacob are closing. He summons his twelve sons and gives his final rebukes and blessings. He whitewashes nothing, mixing into his words the past, future predictions and blessings in the end for them all.
