The calling of Peter to be an Apostle, “Name is Nature” so the saying goes. The Lord gives Simon a new name and calls him Peter, meaning rock. Peter’s apostleship is marked by moments of both spiritual successes and fleshly failures.
The priceless value of knowing Christ, but it is not just about the knowledge of Christ; we are in fellowship with Him, both in His suffering and in His death. Also we share with Christ in His resurrection and in His eternity and glory.
The Lord gives us the parable of the fig tree. He emphasizes the importance of watching, praying and looking for His return knowing that the time is short and that His returning is soon approaching.
The glory of God’s holy city New Jerusalem, it has twelve foundations and twelve gates. All the gates are made of a single pearl. All of the saints are welcomed in this wondrous city and we will never be denied entrance. The Lord will be the light source and we will be with Him forever.
