The prophet Micah delivered a prophecy about the birthplace of Jesus Christ over seven hundred years before it was fulfilled, and it was fulfilled to the letter. Included in this prophecy were bullet points about Who the One would be, Ruler in Israel, active and eternal. His sovereignty, Self-existence, and Servanthood are all a part of His identity, the Everlasting One.
Of over a million men in Israel, it was Joshua whom God chose to succeed His servant Moses. Joshua seems to have always been a man who was there, witnessing and often participating in the miracles, the wonders, the teachings of Moses from the day of the Passover until God took Moses to heaven. A proven man of faith, and Moses’ beloved assistant. He seem to never be on the sidelines, and the first time we meet him he is appointed commander over the Israelite army against the Amalekites. It is Joshua who led Israel into the Promised Land.
