Zechariah’s final vision is of chariots pulled by colored horses that speak of coming judgments. In the last part of the chapter the word of God comes to him directly, not by vision. It promises that Messiah will build His temple.

Zechariah receives his fourth of eight visions. Here he sees Israel’s high priest standing before the Lord God in filthy garments; indicative of the sins of all the people. But the Lord does not leave his servant garbed in filth.
