After the Lord silenced challengers to His authority and put them on defense in the exchange, He intensified His attack and used the vineyard metaphor from Isa 5 to point out the criminal behavior of Israel’s leaders.

God Became His Enemy
David is still amongst the Philistines as they gather for war against King Saul. This war brought dread to Saul and in desperation for spiritual help, he goes to a witch for a séance. There he is told God is his enemy.
Trust God
Using the occasion of His cursing a barren fig tree, and the parallels between the tree and Israel, He said trust God and pray without doubt to move the immovable. He then warned of rules in prayer: forgive or else.
