Israel’s disobedience and their failure to listen and see causes the Lord to lament the blindness of His servant people Israel. God is lovingly patient with us, but there comes a time when He will act. Times of correction are our reassurance that the Lord is NOT indifferent to us.
The Unfailing Servant
God’s promise concerning His Servant, here the LORD’s chosen Servant is Christ, prophesied 750 years before His incarnation. Isaiah expresses a song of praise to the LORD, rejoicing in the mightiness of God and his faithfulness to His people.
Our Unseen Friend
Israel is assured of God’s help; The LORD is Israel’s and our unseen friend. He is always working on our behalf EVEN when we are not aware of it. God also outlines the futility of idols, God states in verse 29 “Indeed they are all worthless; their works are nothing”.
Our Awesome God
The LORD has no equal; as the worship song states, “Our God is an Awesome God”. Isaiah lays out in this poetic passage, the power of our God and His loving kindness to that which He has created.
