The priceless value of knowing Christ, but it is not just about the knowledge of Christ; we are in fellowship with Him, both in His suffering and in His death. Also we share with Christ in His resurrection and in His eternity and glory.
The apostle Paul had many victories serving Christ, but not without personal failures and losses. Yesterday’s failures can rob us of today’s victories in Christ. Paul learned to keep his past failures from overthrowing his life by doing one thing, forgetting those things, and pressing forward without their interference.
Of what value are the basics of our faith to us if they do not show up in our conduct? Throughout the Bible we are exhorted to aspire towards the virtuous life, the Christlike life. Should it be any other way?
