Our Lord Jesus made it clear that if we take things that are holy, such as the Gospel message, and indiscriminately, which is without the Holy Spirit, cast it before those who are not ready, unkind results.
Momentum
In parable of the sower, Jesus gave examples of seeds landing on various places. He said they would not produce fruit in bad soils — so it is with those who lose momentum due to lack of depth in God’s word, they can’t produce.
Who Christ Is
The Lord Jesus wanted it to make His identity clear to His disciples, that there would be no uncertainty as to Who it was Whom they followed, that He, Jesus, is the Messiah, God the Son. He is still making this clear to His followers.
To Worship Him
Wise Men came from afar; following the star, receiving the Scripture, seeing the Child Jesus, King of the Jews. They not only gave gifts to Him, they worshiped Him.
