Peter comes to his main point in this second letter: false prophets, these are untrustworthy preachers, false teachers. He points out that their infiltration amongst the righteous is nothing new, but God will judge them.
Our Trustworthy Bible
Peter says that he lived with Christ and that He and the prophets are trustworthy. Having been there when Christ radiated before their eyes, and hearing the Father’s voice; Peter says our Bible is authentic.
Keeping Sight of Christ
Having ad laid out behavioral components belonging to our faith, Peter now stirs Christians to not lose sight of the vital virtues that aid us in the performance of our faith. Peter says he’ll not neglect to leave reminders.
Pertaining to Life
How are believers to live their lives? Peter gives us components which belong to life in Christ. He makes it clear that we are offered salvation and behavioral instruction, having no need for psychology’s theories.
